A big game developer is planning to take gaming into the next phase, with a 360-degree monitor.
The company behind the game, The Crew, announced the product on Tuesday, with the 360-HD gaming monitor costing $399.
That’s $200 more than the current cheapest gaming monitor available, the $499 MSI GS35E Gaming Monitor.
“We wanted to take a look at gaming,” CEO Jeff Kaplan told TechRadar.
“We’re not saying this is the best gaming monitor in the world.
We want to be a little bit more specific.”
The 360-monitor is built around the new XR3 chipset, which Microsoft is releasing with its Xbox One X console.
It will include six DVI inputs and four HDMI 1.4 ports, and it will support 3D support, with support for the Microsoft OneShot HDR video output.
The 360 monitor will also support the new 3D audio technology, with six speaker-level inputs and a USB-C port.
The product is expected to launch in the US in early 2018.
